According to the Iowa Highway Patrol, a head-on collision occurred on US 52 around 4:26 P.M. Tuesday between a 36-year-old male, Tyler Thompson, and a 52-year-old female, Kristen Lynch, who were traveling in opposite directions. A third vehicle, driven by a 21-year-old male, was also traveling northbound and struck Thompson’s vehicle after the initial impact.

Tragically, Thompson succumbed to his injuries, while Lynch was hospitalized in Dubuque for her injuries.

The Iowa Highway Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the accident.
