DES MOINES— Governor Kim Reynolds today extended the proclamation regarding weight limits and transportation of grain, fertilizer, and manure.

The proclamation, effective immediately and valid until February 6, 2025, permits vehicles transporting corn, soybeans, hay, straw, silage, stover, fertilizer (dry, liquid, and gas), and manure (dry and liquid) to exceed the 90,000-pound gross weight limit without a permit during this period.

This proclamation applies to loads transported on all highways within Iowa (excluding the interstate system) and those that do not exceed the 90,000-pound gross weight limit, as determined under Iowa Code § 321.463 (6) (b), by more than 12.5 percent, and comply with posted limits on roads and bridges.
