The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone that driving while impaired by alcohol or other drugs is dangerous and even deadly. Remember that being under the influence of drugs or alcohol slows your reaction time and your ability to make sound decisions especially when operating a motor vehicle. Last December, 990 drivers were charged with OWI on Iowa roads and nearly 37% of traffic deaths are impaired related.

Please utilize ride share services, taxi’s or designate a driver to ensure that you and others on the roadway make it to their destination.
