Dubuque IA. – On December 5th, 2024, the Dubuque Police Department received a tip that a suspect wanted for conspiracy to commit murder in North Dakota might be in our jurisdiction. The Flock automated license plate reader (ALPR) system was checked, and it was discovered that the vehicle linked to the wanted individual, Steven Burrell, a 30-year-old man, had been captured by multiple cameras. Collaborating closely with the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, the Dubuque Police successfully located and apprehended Burrell at the Casey’s store on Rockdale Road.

The Flock ALPR cameras were activated in October 2024.
