
Dubuque, IA – On November 14, 2024, at approximately 9:43 a.m., Friday Deel Gardner, a 27-year-old resident of Dubuque, was arrested at 2351 Washington Street. Gardner faces multiple charges, including one misdemeanor and three felony counts of controlled substance violations, as well as a felony charge for dominion/control of a firearm or offensive weapon by a felon.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Dubuque Drug Task Force, which included multiple undercover operations. During these operations, an undercover operative successfully purchased fentanyl pills from Gardner. Following these controlled buys, officers obtained a search warrant for Gardner’s residence.
Upon executing the search warrant, officers discovered a significant quantity of controlled substances, including fentanyl pills, ecstasy, alprazolam, and marijuana. Additionally, a loaded firearm was found on the premises. Gardner was taken into custody without incident.
Gardner is out of jail after posting a cash bond.
This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat the distribution of illegal drugs in the community.
