Road Construction Update: 243rd Avenue Reopens
Jackson County Secondary Roads Department has announced the reopening of 243rd Avenue, marking the completion of a significant construction project. The road, which stretches for 1897 feet from the end of Dubuque County’s Dayton Road, was closed for improvements starting on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 9:00 AM and reopened on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
The construction aimed to enhance the road’s safety and durability, ensuring better travel conditions for residents and commuters. The project included resurfacing, drainage improvements, and other necessary upgrades to meet current standards.
