* WHAT…For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 31 to 35 degrees will result in frost formation. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest Illinois and east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa.

* WHEN…For the Frost Advisory, from 1 AM to 8 AM CDT Tuesday. For the Freeze Warning, from 1 AM to 9 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
