Dubuque, IA – On the morning of August 20, 2024, a disturbance on Wilson Avenue led to the arrest of Marrita Dye, a 41-year-old Dubuque resident. The incident occurred around 10:01 AM when Officer Jason Koch responded to reports of a visibly intoxicated individual causing a scene in the 1000 block of Wilson Avenue.

Upon arrival, Officer Jason Koch found Marrita Dye exhibiting erratic behavior. Despite attempts to calm her, Dye’s agitation escalated, resulting in a physical altercation that left Officer Koch with minor injuries. Dye was subsequently arrested and charged with Interference with Official Acts – Bodily Injury and Public Intoxication, both misdemeanors.
