“On the evening of the 9th, just before 10:00 PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a swimming incident at a private pond in Marion Township, near the intersection of CTH T. Aaron King, 21, was swimming with friends when he began to struggle to stay afloat. Despite his friends’ efforts to rescue him, they were unsuccessful. Emergency responders were summoned to the scene and, with the assistance of the Boscobel and Rural Fire Departments, eventually recovered Aaron from the pond around 11 PM. The Sheriff’s Office received support from various other agencies in managing the situation.”
