A fire destroyed a home in Cascade on Monday.

The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and other local agencies responded to reports of a fire at the building located at 1200 4th Avenue SE around 2:12 p.m.

The initial investigation revealed that the fire started in the garage and spread throughout the home. The home, worth about $180,000, is estimated to be a total loss.

Investigators ruled out any suspicious activity. No injuries were reported.
