A trial date has been set for a Dubuque man who entered a not guilty plea to charges pertaining to the death of his infant child.

Khalil Holloway, 24, is due in court on April 4th in Dubuque County District Court. He was taken into custody in January on three charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

Valessa Matlock, his girlfriend, entered a not guilty plea to comparable allegations and is scheduled to go on trial later this month. Last June, their 2-month-old baby was discovered unconscious at home. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was tragically declared dead.
