The Dubuque Regional Airport has been granted $2.6 million in federal funding from the Department of Transportation’s Airport Infrastructure Grant program.
This funding, which was approved in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will be used to reconstruct an outdated aircraft parking apron at the airport. The apron serves as a parking and tie-down area for private and transient planes and is crucial to maintaining the airport’s status as the second-busiest in Iowa.
The airport director, Todd Dalsing, expressed gratitude to Senator Grassley, Senator Ernst, and Representative Hinson for their support in securing these funds. The Dubuque Regional Airport is one of many airports in Iowa to receive a total of over $15 million in funding from this grant program.
