A single car accident occurred on January 28, 2024, at 6:48 A.M. in Little Grant Township.

Elizabeth Gehler, a 27-year-old resident of Mount Hope, was driving a 2004 Ford Escape. While traveling south on Shady Dell Rd, Gehler was unable to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Badger Rd due to excessive speed. As a result, Gehler veered into the northbound lane and eventually entered the east ditch, colliding with a snow bank and causing her vehicle to overturn onto its side.

Despite not wearing a seat belt, Gehler miraculously sustained no injuries. Nevertheless, her car was considered a total loss and was promptly removed from the scene by the Collisiion Specialists.

Additionally, Gehler was issued citations for failing to wear a seat belt and lacking car insurance.
