Grant County Wisconsin – On Monday, January 16, 2024, at approximately 2:14 pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle crash on State Highway 80 at Sinsinawa Road. The crash involved a 2023 Honda Civic driven by Cecil W. Pearce, age 85, from Hazel Green, and a 2014 Freightliner Propane Truck owned by Three Rivers FS Company and driven by Derek T. Montgomery, age 27, from Dubuque.

According to Pearce, he was stopped at the stop sign on Sinsinawa Road, looking but did not see Montgomery’s vehicle on State Highway 80. Pearce proceeded to pull out into the path of the propane truck, causing a collision between the two vehicles.

Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the crash. The Honda Civic sustained moderate damage, while the Freightliner Propane Truck suffered only minor damage. The Freightliner was able to be removed from the ditch by a company vehicle.

The crash is still under investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision.
