The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying the semi and driver involved in a 2 vehicle hit-and-run crash, leaving a 16-year-old Potosi juvenile without a vehicle.

On Friday, August 4, 2023, just before 7:00 a.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a 2 vehicle crash on County Road O near the intersection with Rockville Road in Harrison Township.

A 16-year-old juvenile from Potosi was eastbound on County Road O on his way to work when he reported a westbound semi with an empty flatbed construction trailer was hugging the centerline around a curve and clipped the driver’s side of his vehicle, a 2012 Chevy Impala, setting off the airbags. The involved semi did not stop, and the juvenile was unable to obtain a plate. Moderate damage was sustained to the Impala as a result of the crash, and it was driven from the scene.

The juvenile reported no injuries. It is believed the semi-trailer would have minimal damage to the rear driver’s side. Anyone with information is asked to please contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at (608) 723-2157.
