Marlee Basten , 21, has been sentenced to two years of probation by the Iowa District Court of Dubuque County for assaulting another woman in a local bar. The sentencing order issued by District Associate Judge Mark T. Hostager includes the requirement for Basten to pay a specified amount as part of her punishment.

The evidence, including surveillance footage and testimonies, clearly established the guilt. Basten was seen striking the victim in the head on January 15th on the footage.
