In a recent case, Tanner Millman, a resident of Dubuque, pleaded guilty to two charges: count one – possession of a firearm by a drug user, and count two – possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. The US District Court has now handed down its sentence for these charges.

For the firearm charge, Millman has been sentenced to a term of 63 months. Concurrently, he will also serve a 60-month term for count two. This means that both sentences will run at the same time.

The recommended sentence has been forwarded to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. It is now recommended that Millman serves his sentence as per the court’s decision.

The Judge strongly urge the Federal Bureau of Prisons to consider the defendant’s family proximity and prioritize his enrollment in a comprehensive residential drug abuse treatment program. Additionally, The Judge recommend six years of supervised release following his imprisonment.
