Truck pulling a boat crashed in Blue River

On July 23, 2023, Kaden Currier, age 16 of Muscoda was traveling east on Exchange St. in Blue River in a 2007 Chevy Silverado pulling a boat owned by Tad Bomkamp of Muscoda. Currier fell asleep and struck a car that was parked on the north side of the road. The legally parked car, a 2004 Honda Odyssey, is owned by Mary Markin of Blue River. The truck continued east and came to rest on the sidewalk. The boat and trailer disconnected from the truck when it crashed.

Minor injuries were reported by the driver of the truck and the 16-year-old passenger. The driver of the truck was cited for inattentive driving.

Assisting the Grant County Sheriff’s Office on scene was Blue River EMS, Blue River Fire, Terry’s Towing of Boscobel, and VP Towing of Muscoda.
