In a statement released by Lieutenant D. Brendan Welsh, the Dubuque Police Department’s Public Information Officer, investigators have been speaking with witnesses since the incident occurred and reviewing evidence. This is still a very active investigation. As of right now, there have not been any arrests.

On June 9th Dubuque Police were called to a shooting that occurred in the 2500 block of Broadway Street early this morning Officers responded to the report of shots fired following a disturbance at 2:30 am. A total of four adults were found with gunshot wounds when officers arrived. All four victims were transported to Dubuque hospitals. One victim has since died from his injuries. The identities of all parties involved are withheld pending family notification. The investigation into this incident is active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this point.
Police say all the people involved knew each other and the public is not at risk. The case remains under investigation.
On June 10th the victims were identified. Allen Taylor, 39, of Dubuque was pronounced dead at a Dubuque hospital. Dubuque injured victims are Levonta Collins, 24, and Francis Thompson, 36. Tryell Saunders, 24, of Corraville was also injured.
