On Thursday, June 1st, 2023 the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Buckwheat Ridge Road in the Township of Elenboro Wisconsin for a UTV accident.

Kent Walker, 61, of rural Lancaster, drove his 2007 Polaris Ranger UTV. He was facing westbound on CTY A’s eastbound shoulder at his mailbox getting mail. Then from the stopped position, he made a right-hand turn to pull into his driveway, crossing both lanes of travel, and was struck by a vehicle traveling on CTY A by 63-year-old Kevin Campbell of Bloomington.

Walker was ejected from the UTV and sustained life-threatening injuries. Platteville Fire and Southwest EMS cared for the walker until a med flight arrived to transport him to University Of Madison Hospital.

There’s no word on his condition.
