A rollover traffic crash occurred on IL Rt 84 N about 3/8 of a mile south of W Furlong Rd, rural Galena, IL, on 05/29/2023 at 7:47 P.M.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that Joshua K Knowles was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger south on IL Rt 84 N. Knowles veered off the roadway to the right, entered the gravel shoulder, re-entered the roadway crossing both traffic lanes, and entered the east ditch. A pickup truck operated by Knowles struck an embankment and rolled over before coming to rest. Knowles was transported from the scene by Galena EMS to Mercy One Medical Center in Dubuque, IA for injury treatment. This traffic accident remains under investigation.
