Grant County Wisconsin

A suspicious person was reported on Old Potosi Rd, just outside Lancaster, on 5/9/23 at about 5:00 pm.

The male was identified as Brandon Pollard, 42, of Platteville by a sheriff’s deputy. Due to strange behavior and drug use signs, K9 Vezer was deployed. In a search, K9 Vezer found 16 grams of methamphetamine, with a street value of $800. In addition, various drug paraphernalia items. Pollard was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of rug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and resisting an Officer. Lancaster Police Department and Lancaster EMS assisted at the scene.

Persons arrested and/or referred for charges by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. An arrest only indicates probable cause for formal charges. The names of victims and witnesses to a crime have been withheld per Wisconsin Statute §950.04.
