April 20th. at approximately 2:58pm, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 81 east of County Road Y in the Township of Cassville.

After investigation, Bradley Fure, age 41 of Cassville, operated his 2009 Chevy Silverado westbound on Highway 81. Fure fell asleep behind the wheel and crossed the centerline into the eastbound lane. Rylee Wagner, age 19 of Lancaster, operated her 2016 Chevy Cruze eastbound on Highway 81. Fure’s vehicle entered Wagner’s path.Wagner swerved to the right to avoid a collision, but the vehicles collided at the front driver’s side corners. Wagner’s vehicle entered the ditch on the north side of the road and came to a halt. Fure’s vehicle continued through the ditch until resting down an embankment. Airbags were deployed in both vehicles and both drivers wore seatbelts. Fure sustained apparent minor injuries and Wagner was uninjured. Both vehicles received extensive damage and were towed.

Fure was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating left of center.
