Law Enforcement from Benton Police, the Wisconsin DCI, Jo Daviess County Sheriff and the FBI have all participated in the investigation of the suspicious death of 83-year-old Lynne Montgomery of Benton Wisconsin. 

Two weeks after her arrest in Galena Illinois, Shannon Bussan, 30, the granddaughter-in-law had been charged with 1st-degree murder and remains in the Lafayette County Jail in Wisconsin on a million-dollar bond.

Montgomery was found in her home unresponsive after a 911 call on February 27, on Carr Factor Road. After being taken to Dubuque Hospital, she was pronounced dead. The family called authorities and and a investigation followed.
