On Saturday, February 25 2023 at approximately 2:29am deputies responded to. Pleasant Hill Rd north of W Reusch Rd for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. When deputies arrived at the scene, they learned Connor Altensey, 24, of Savanna, Illinois, had been involved in a motor vehicle accident. He told deputies he was headed southbound on Pleasant Hill Rd. He lost control of his 2005 tan GMC Sierra truck and drove off the left side of the roadway. A resident’s deck was one of the two points on which he came to rest after striking multiple trees. 

Connor was transported from the scene by Elizabeth Ambulance to Midwest Medical for his non-life-threatening injuries. He is charged with Driving Intoxicated with Alcohol and Failure to reduce speed to Avoid an Accident. This accident remains under investigation.
