The phishing texts thank the recipients for paying their T-Mobile bill and ask them to open a malicious link that will redirect them to a gift

There’s a scam going around that sends a text or emails saying you won an iPhone 14 or 14 pro and the link to a site to place your order.

Once you’re there, they ask for a shipping fee and your bank information and name and address to send it.

Once ordered, people will find charges on their bank account they never made.

Recently, their’s been an increase in these types of scams using various banks, phone companies and businesses.

With that in mind, here are six tell-tale signs that an email is a phishing attempt.

  • Grammar and spelling errors. … 
  • Inconsistencies in email addresses, URLs & domain names. … 
  • Suspicious attachments and links. … 
  • Urgent action required or threats. … 
  • Request for sensitive information. … 
  • Impersonal greetings.
