On 11/03/2022 The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a 2 vehicle crash with possible injuries.

At approximately 4:12PM, Phyllis Klima, age 72 of Topeka, Kansas, was operating her silver 2012 Volkswagen Beetle on the Highway 151 exit 22 off ramp. Beth Mcvay, age 49 of Platteville, Wisconsin, was westbound in her red 2019 Ram 1500 on County Highway XX. Klima proceeded through the intersection, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. Kilma’s vehicle collided with the passenger rear tire of Mcvay’s tuck, causing the truck to roll over. Both vehicles received heavy disabling damage as a result of the crash.

Both drivers were treated on scene by SouthWest Health EMS for injuries. Mcvay was released from EMS at the scene. Kilma was transported by EMS from the scene. Klima was cited for failure to yield to right of way from a stop sign.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by UW Platteville Police Department, Platteville Fire Department, SouthWest Health EMS, and SOS Road Rescue of Platteville.
