The 15 year old that robbed The Great Vape in Dubuque and grand theft, auto a few vehicles last year in October 2021 that fled from the Iowa justice system. Is now in custody.

Thursday Florida State Trooper conducted a traffic stop led to Law Enforcement discovering two missing Iowa teenager boys in Bay County. According to a Florida Highway Patrol Press Release.

Bay County Sheriff’s Deputy told a Florida State Trooper to be on the lookout in the area of US 231 for a 2008 black Saturn Vue with Iowa tags. That was reported, taken by the 15-year-old from Iowa.

The trooper located the black Saturn Vue and conducted a traffic stop near US 231 and Chapel Road around 1:30 Thursday October October 3, 2022

The Bay County Sheriff Deputy arrived to back up the trooper on the traffic stop. Shortly after the traffic stop the Trooper and Deputy discovered the two people in the vehicle were two missing teenage boys from Iowa.

The 15-year-old and 17-year-old from Asbury, IA into police custody. Authorities said the 15-year-old was charged with being a fugitive from justice From Iowa and the 17-year-old was charged with giving false information to a law-enforcement officer.

The two juveniles teens were taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice Center to be held awaiting Extradition back to Iowa.

According to one of the the 15 year olds family members that reached out to us said he is being transported to Oklahoma, on the Iowa crimes that he committed.

According to Iowa law, when you commit a crime in the state you are tried in the state.
