Cordero Davis, 35 of Dubuque, has had his case moved from state court to the U. S. District Court for the District of Northern Illinois (Western Division) in Rockford, Illinois. He has been charged with intent to distribute a controlled substance. If he’s convicted, he could end up serving 10 years in federal prison.
Daives was arrested during a traffic stop in June. During the stop, officers found methamphetamine of more than 900 grams (Class X felony,) possession with intent to deliver heroin 15 but less than 100 grams (Class X felony, ) and possession of cannabis – 500 but less than 2,000 grams (Class 3 felony.) His arrest was the result of a traffic stop by a Jo Daviess County Officer.
