Epworth Man Injured During Arrest

Tuesday Dubuque County Sheriff’s Officers and Epworth Police, served a warrant on an Epworth man for setting off explosive devices.

When officers arrived they found 34-year-old Jordan Carr of Epworth standing there with a Molotov Cocktail threatening them. After a brief standoff, he set the device on the ground near a gas tank and then tried to elude officers when an Epworth Officer tased him and he fell injuring his head. Carr ended up being transported to Mercy Hospital.

Carr is charged with threatening an explosive or incendiary device, interference with official acts with a weapon, two counts of possession of explosive materials or devices and two counts of reckless use of fire.
