09/25/2022 at approximately 1:05am, the Jo Daviess County dispatch center received a report of one vehicle traffic accident with unknown injuries on N. Badger Road, approximately 1⁄2mile south of 3dr Avenue.

Upon arrival, deputies found the juvenile female who was operating a black 2003 Toyota Camry southbound on N. Badger Road. The driver drove around two road closed construction signs and continued southbound on N. Badger Road and lost control of the vehicle when the pavement changed to gravel/dirt and then collided with a pile of rocks along the roadway before coming to rest in the oncoming lane of traffic. The driver of the vehicle denied injury. The passenger was transported to Midwest Medical Center via private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver was charged with disobeying a Traffic Control Device and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

This incident remains under investigation. The juvenile female is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
