Jo Daviess County State’s Attorney, Chris Allendorf, would like to inform the public of the following information. On July 26, 2022, Kaeshawn Diaz of Chicago, Illinois, pled guilty to Burglary, a Class 2 Felony, as part of a plea agreement.
As a result of his plea of guilty, Mr. Diaz was sentenced by Judge Kevin Ward to four and a half (4 1⁄2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. This sentence shall be followed by one year of Mandatory Supervised Release (MSR), formerly known as Parole, at the discretion of the Illinois Prisoner Review Board. Mr. Diaz will have to report to a parole officer and comply with all other terms and conditions of his MSR.

The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation of this case.
