With the passage of the state’s new laws allowing ATV and UTV vehicles on county roads, the city is debating on whether to allow them on city streets at city council meeting, on July 12th.

If passed, owners would have to follow the new laws that went in effect July 1st.

ATVs and UTVs would have a speed limit of 35 mph. All ATVs and UTVs must have operational headlights, tail and brake lights, horn and rearview mirrors. They must be operated by a person who is at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and carrying valid proof of insurance and registered with the DNR.
