The oil that spilled into the Ice harbor Wednesday, came from a City’s Garbage Truck that spilled 50 gallons of hydraulic oil into a storm drain on Emmett Street that empties into the ice harbor. Crews are.working to clean the spill.

Dubuque Fire & Rescue responded around 6:30 this evening to the Ice Harbor for a oil spill. The oil was contained to one side of the Ice Harbor around the William and Black and US Coast Guard vessel.
The cost of the oil leak is yet to be determined and no other information has been released.
Cleanup crews arrived shortly after the incident to clean up the Oil spill.
