Around 7: 30 this morning, Jo Daviess County Dispatch received a call about two men with a gun.

Deputies dispatched to Elizabeth, Illinois, discovered John Versey of Galena, Illinois, walking on Main Street in Elizabeth.

After further investigation, they found a BB gun on him and that he confronted another man with it.

The other man was there to receive a battery from Versey.

Grant County Deputies Charged Verey with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The case remains under investigation
