Just after midnight Jan 6th, 2022 the Mineral Point Fire Department suffered a tragic loss; LINE OF DUTY DEATH, within their agency.

At approximately 0015 hours Mineral Point Fire Department personnel were responding to a reported motor vehicle crash on Hwy 151 in the Township of Mineral Point. Without going into particular details: as the crash remains under investigation, a fire truck, carrying two firefighters was struck by a semi.
Unfortunately: the two fire-fighters were severely injured and pronounced deceased at the scene.
