Dubuque, Iowa – March 19, 2026 – Shannon Renee Brenner, 33, was arrested at 9:50 a.m. today at 770 Iowa St. on two felony counts of probation violation, according to the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center Daily Bulletin. Officer Patterson made the arrest.
The charges stem from Brenner’s 2022 forgery convictions (two Class D felonies under Iowa Code 715A.2(2)(a)). She was originally sentenced to five years in prison (suspended), five years of probation, one year in a residential facility, and a $1,025 fine.
Court records show she has faced multiple prior probation violations since 2022, including contempt of court in 2023 (60 days jail) and additional conditions added in 2023. A 2025 violation remains unresolved.
Brenner is being held at the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center. No bond or court date has been released. The case could result in revocation of her probation and imposition of the suspended prison term.
