The Dubuque City Council will hold a series of public meetings as part of the process to create the City of Dubuque’s budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027, which runs from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in this process and provide input.

On Monday, March 23, the city council will hold a public hearing to establish the maximum FY2027 property tax levy.

The public is invited to attend the public hearings and meetings. All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Historic Federal Building at 350 W. Sixth St. and will be aired live on CityChannel Dubuque (Mediacom channel 8 and ImOn channel 5), streamed and archived on the City’s website at cityofdubuque.org/media, and streamed on the City’s Facebook page at facebook.com/cityofdubuque and YouTube channel at youtube.com/@CityofDubuqueGovernment

The public can provide input in person or virtually through the GoToMeeting platform. Instructions can be found within the meeting agenda at cityofdubuque.org/agendas. Public input on the FY2027 budget may also be submitted online through the budget public comments form at cityofdubuque.org/FY2027budget. Residents may also contact City Council members at cityofdubuque.org/councilcontacts.

The recommended budget materials are expected to be available on the City of Dubuque website at http://www.cityofdubuque.org/FY2027budget and printed copies will be made available for checkout from the Carnegie-Stout Public Library Reference Desk.
