DUBUQUE, IA – January 27, 2026 – A 27-year-old Dubuque woman was arrested Monday night on felony and misdemeanor child endangerment charges after children in her care tested positive for methamphetamine and THC.

Taylor Mae Paxton (also identified as Taylor M. Brandenburg-Paxton), white female, age 27, was taken into custody at 10:26 p.m. on January 26 at 550 W 8th St. on a warrant. Charges include one count of felony child endangerment – meth exposure and one count of child endangerment (misdemeanor). The arrest was reported by Dura, J J.

Paxton was lodged in the Dubuque County Jail. No further details on court proceedings were immediately available. Child welfare officials are involved.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
