MUSCODA, WI — A 2011 Buick LaCrosse crashed into a wooded area off Forest Rd near the Blue River bridge in Muscoda Township on Jan 24, 2026, around 6:43 a.m.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash with no driver present. The vehicle failed to negotiate a sharp curve, left the road, and came to rest in the woods.

Owner/driver Mason Herreid, 23, of Muscoda, was not located that day. Contact was made Jan 25.

Herreid was cited for: Fail to Notify Police of Accident, Driving Too Fast for Conditions, No Insurance, Display Unauthorized Registration.

Vehicle sustained moderate damage; towed by Terry’s Tire and Tow. No injuries reported.
