Scholarships, applied to tuition, books, and fees, support full-time enrollment at certified higher learning institutions, including online programs.

Illinois permanent residents qualify without restrictions by race, age, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Students must enroll full-time (excluding summer sessions).

Sheriff Craig Ketelsen of Jo Daviess County awards one $500 scholarship.

Applications, available at local sheriff’s offices or https://www.ilsheriff.org/youth-2/, require an essay and submission to the county sheriff’s office by March 13, 2026 (postmarked).
