JANUARY 14, 2026

City of Dubuque offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This includes City Hall and other City offices and facilities. 

January’s second meeting of the Dubuque City Council will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 6:30 p.m. 

There is no change to the City’s curbside collection of trash and recycling, and the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency’s facilities will be open on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. 

The Jule will operate its fixed route buses, mini-buses, and downtown shuttle on their normal schedules and routes on Monday, Jan. 19. However, the Intermodal Transportation Center will be closed. 

Parking meter violations will not be enforced Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. 

The Carnegie-Stout Public Library and Multicultural Family Center will also be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
