On January 09, 2026, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center was notified of a one-vehicle crash on CTY P near Morgan

Road, in Patch Grove Township. A passerby was traveling on CTY P when they observed a vehicle in the Eastbound lane that was on its roof.

When deputies and first responders arrived on scene, they discovered a 1998 Jeep Grant Cherokee that was unoccupied, and the owner,

Jason Dilley, 44, of rural Mount Hope, could not be located. The investigation later determined that Dilley had been traveling eastbound on

CTY P when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle overturned and landed on its roof before skidding more than 80 feet and coming to a

stop in the lane of travel. A drone was utilized in an attempt to locate the driver and any occupants, but no one was located. Dilley was

eventually located the following day after the incident.

As a result of the crash, Dilley was cited for: failure to maintain control of his vehicle, failure to report an accident, failure to maintain tires,

possessing more than one driver’s license, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Bloomington Fire Department, West Grant EMS, Bagley First Responders,

the Wisconsin State Patrol, and B&M Towing of Bloomington.
