Dubuque, IA – September 19, 2025, 12:32 PM CDT

The Dubuque Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call at 12:32 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025, reporting multiple delivery vehicles on fire at Amazon located at 7200 Chavenelle Rd. The call came from an employee at the business, prompting an immediate response from the Dubuque Fire Department.

Engine 2 was the first to arrive on the scene, where firefighters encountered two delivery vehicles fully engulfed in flames. Crews quickly secured the area, established command, and deployed a hose line to begin suppressing the fires while working to establish a water supply. Engine 5, Truck 4, Battalion 1, and Medic 4 arrived shortly after to assist in fire suppression and incident stabilization. Engine 3 and Truck 1 remained staged on scene until the fire was fully under control.

The Dubuque Fire Department successfully extinguished the blaze, with the last unit clearing the scene at 2:07 PM. Both delivery vehicles were deemed a total loss, and property damage to the surrounding parking lot is still under assessment.

Assistant Fire Marshal Paulson is investigating the cause of the fire, which is not considered suspicious at this time. The Dubuque Police Department provided support on scene. No injuries to the public or responders were reported.
