LANCASTER, WI – On September 8, 2025, at 1:47 PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call reporting a tragic incident on Boice Creek Rd in South Lancaster Township. A man was found trapped beneath farming equipment, prompting an immediate response from the Lancaster Fire Department and Lancaster EMS.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered that the victim, identified as 77-year-old Robert Stader of Lancaster, was deceased. According to the Sheriff’s Office investigation, Stader and another individual were working on a piece of farm machinery when Stader became entangled in its moving parts, resulting in fatal injuries.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was supported at the scene by the Lancaster Fire Department, Lancaster EMS, and the Grant County Coroner’s Office. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
