DUBUQUE, IA – On August 9, 2025, Dubuque Police arrested two individuals, Davion Lashaun Trawick, 25, and Donta Racine Euells, 44, following an incident at 1927 Amelia Dr. The arrests, which occurred shortly after 8:30 AM, stem from charges related to a first-degree burglary and, in Trawick’s case, an additional charge of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.

According to police reports, Trawick was apprehended at 8:39 AM by Officer H.F. Durr on charges of Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, a misdemeanor, and Burglary 1st Degree – Burglary/Breaking and Entering, a felony (AR 2025005634). Approximately 19 minutes later, at 8:58 AM, Euells was arrested at the same location by Officer D.C. Bierer on a single charge of Burglary 1st Degree – Burglary/Breaking and Entering, also a felony.

The Dubuque Police Department has not released specific details about the incident, including the nature of the assault or the circumstances surrounding the burglary. Both suspects were taken into custody and booked at the Dubuque County Jail, where they await further legal proceedings. First-degree burglary, a Class B felony in Iowa, carries significant penalties, potentially including up to 25 years in prison if convicted. The assault charge against Trawick, involving the display of a dangerous weapon, adds further gravity to his case.
