Dubuque, Iowa — July 3rd, 2025, marks the 24th anniversary of the disappearance of 20-year-old Crystal Arensdorf, who vanished from Knicker’s Saloon in Dubuque on July 3, 2001. The enduring enigma continues to haunt her family and the community, who are still tirelessly searching for answers to bring closure to this unresolved case.
The night of her disappearance, Crystal was at Knicker’s, a popular local bar, and planned to stay until closing to catch a ride with the bartender or take a cab, as bars in Dubuque remained open until 3:00 a.m. However, Crystal left the bar without the bartender, and no one has seen or heard from her since. Her abrupt vanishing has left her family and friends in a state of confusion and uncertainty for more than two decades.
The Dubuque Police Department remains committed to investigating Crystal’s case, diligently pursuing every lead in their quest to uncover the truth.
The Dubuque Police Department is investigating the case and encourages anyone with information to contact Investigator Kurt Rosenthal at rosenth@cityofdubuque.org.
