DUBUQUE, Iowa — Joshua David Giegerich, a 38-year-old white male, was arrested early Tuesday morning, May 20, 2025, at the intersection of 2 E 26th St and Central Ave in Dubuque, Iowa, following an incident involving multiple charges. According to authorities, Giegerich faces charges of assault against a person protected by a no-contact order, simple domestic abuse assault, second-degree burglary, and contempt for violating a no-contact or protective order.

The arrest, reported at 2:37 a.m., was carried out by Officer J. Vauthier. The charges stem from an alleged incident involving breaking and entering, as well as violations related to a protective order. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances leading to the arrest, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Giegerich is currently in custody, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
