Dubuque, IA – April 2, 2025 – Jinyu Song, a 20-year-old male, was arrested early this morning in Dubuque on multiple charges following a traffic stop at the intersection of Dodge Street and Old Highway Road. Song was stopped then took deputies on a mile pursuit.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:35 AM.
According to the Dubuque Police Department, Song was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (1st Offense)
• Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) – 1st Offense
• Eluding
• Interference with Official Acts—No Injury/Damage
  The arrest was made at 4624 Dodge Street/Old Highway Road. The arresting deputy’s name was Krause,

Song was released on a $5000 unsecured bond.
