DUBUQUE, IA – The Dubuque Police Department has released its annual crime report for 2024, detailing crime statistics within the city.
The report, published March 13, 2025, provides the following key findings:

• Arrests: Total arrests in 2024 were 2,281, compared to 2,876 in 2023.
• Crimes Against Persons: 253 cases were reported in 2024, consistent with 2023 figures. This category includes assaults and robberies.
• Property Crimes: 988 property crimes were reported in 2024, a decrease from 1,319 in 2023.
• Burglary incidents increased in 2024.
• Motor vehicle thefts increased in 2024.
• Traffic Fatalities: 7 fatal traffic accidents occurred in 2024, compared to 1 in 2023.
• Shots Fired Calls: Calls related to shots fired increased by 20% compared to 2023.
